A candidate for NHS must be considered a sophomore at LP (Logos Prep) with a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale at LP.  As a candidate, you must have been a student at LP for at least one semester.

To pursue candidacy in NHS, you will need to fill out a Student Activity Information Form, compose a student resume, and ask one of your teachers to write a letter of recommendation.  Students are not selected on the basis of grade point average alone.  A student much show leadership qualities among the student body at large.

Membership dues are $20 annually (subject to change yearly as per the national office requirements).  Meetings are on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM.  Members will be expected to attend monthly meetings as well as complete 20 hours of individual community service and 5 hours of group community service annually.  Members will have the opportunity to become officers if they choose to pursue such a course.
