Dress Code
Overview
Logos Preparatory Academy’s dress code is intended to:
· Minimize the use of clothing as a significant means of establishing identity or social status
· Establish a standard of appearance suitable for making Logos students a witness to the community
· Establish an extra measure of campus security
· Be practical, economical, and comfortable
Uniform Specifications
Uniform dress is required for all students while on campus during the school day.
Students are to also wear uniform dress while on school sponsored off-campus field trips unless Logos Prep staff specifically communicates it otherwise.
When on campus for any event after normal school hours and not in uniform, students are to dress in appropriate attire (excluding crop tops, strapless tops backless tops or dresses, spaghetti straps, short skirts or shorts, muscle shirts, tight-fitting clothes, etc). This also includes any school event off campus.
Students should seek to dress in a modest Christian manner that represents the school well.
The student’s appearance should not draw undo attention, become distracting or blemish the intent of the dress code in any fashion.
Logos Prep staff may determine the appropriateness of a student’s clothing, makeup, or hairstyle and may request that any student who is not dressed appropriately follow the steps listed under dress code violations.
The administrator may grant exceptions to the dress code if desired for special dress days.
All clothes must be neat and clean at the beginning of the day, and may not be torn, have fringed edges, or any other unusual features which call undue attention to the student. Uniform clothing should not be excessively tight or form fitting or excessively loose or immodest. When seated, shirts should not rise up to show skin or undergarments.
The Logos Prep board of directors reserves the right to change the dress code standards at any time. Changes to the dress code will be communicated to parents and students.
